Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Middle School Deputy Principal appointment
It is with great pleasure that I announce our newly appointed Deputy Principal Maxine Inu who will join the Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Middle School āiga officially, Term 2, Monday 9 June, 2025 Maxine joins us from Māngere Bridge School, where she has been a valued educator and Team Leader for the past nine years. Throughout her career, Maxine has taken on several leadership roles, including Pasifika Leader, Impact Coach, Staff Board Representative, Community & whānau engagement leader and supporting Kāhui Ako and PTA lead.
Born and raised in South Auckland, Maxine’s passion and service is grounded in philosophy through building and fostering strong, community-based relationships that support student learning and wellbeing. Maxine has a strong commitment to Māori and Pasifika education, with over fifteen years of experience she has led successful learning initiatives, and Community Pasifika Fono gatherings to help strengthen home-school partnerships.
With links to the villages of Lakepa Maleloa, Fasito’otai and Lufilufi, Maxine credits her journey to success to the Pasifika and local communities who have always supported her.
We are delighted to welcome Maxine to our Middle School āiga. Her values of service, connection, and collaboration align well with our school’s vision and direction. We look
forward to the valuable contribution and impact she will have on the success of our students,
staff, and wider school community.
