Call for Expressions of Interest
Co-opted Māori Representative – Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Board
Commencing May 2026
The SEHC Board is seeking expressions of interest for a co-opted Māori Representative to join the Board from May 2026.
This role is an important part of our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to ensuring that Māori voice, perspectives, and aspirations are meaningfully represented at a governance level across SEHC
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance and control of the management of the Collegiate. The Board is the employer of all staff in the school, is responsible for setting the school’s strategic direction in consultation with parents, staff and students, and ensuring that its school provides a safe environment and quality education for all its students. The Board is also responsible for overseeing the management of personnel, curriculum, property, finance and administration.
The structure of the Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Board of Trustees is as follows:
- Three Principal’s (Senior School, Middle School, Junior School)
- Six Parent Elected Trustees (2 Senior School, 2 Middle School, 2 Junior School)
- One Staff Elected Trustee
- One Student Elected Trustee (Annual election)
- Co-opted Trustees
- Ministry of Education Rep
